At EASTWISE, we firmly believe that the future of commerce lies in responsible and sustainable practices. Meeting our customers’ growing demand for eco-responsible solutions is no longer an option, but a necessity.
That’s why, this past quarter, we had the opportunity to organize an eco-design training course with Tweener, one of our trusted partners and experts in the field.
Why is eco-design essential for us?
“We’re preparing for the future – Europe is implementing more and more ‘green’ regulations, and consumers are asking brands to offer concrete solutions,” explains Cyrille Littler, our CEO. Environmental regulations are becoming increasingly stringent, and consumer expectations are evolving rapidly.
Even if not all our customers are directly concerned today, they are already feeling the effects of this transition. “The aim of this training is to plant a seed, to help us understand the current situation, what’s on the horizon and what solutions are available.”
Tweener: a partner of choice
Our partnership with Tweener goes back a long way.
“Tweener is a customer with whom we work a lot on quality projects.” – Cyrille Littler
Thanks to their expertise in eco-design, and a qualified team in Taiwan, they were the ideal choice to support us in this process. Their in-depth knowledge of eco-design solutions and their pragmatic approach made them a key ally for this training course.”

Key lessons for a lasting impact
Jérémie Arntz, from the sales department, highlights three key lessons he learned from the training:
“Awareness of global warming is not the same for everyone. This gap needs to be filled in order to align ourselves with the same objectives.” – Jérémie Arntz
He also stresses the importance of starting now to integrate eco-design principles to reduce the environmental impact of our consumer society. Finally, he reminds us that every player has a role to play in this transition, especially as an international purchasing office.
A collective commitment to a more sustainable future
Wendy Lin, Senior Merchandiser, highlights the importance of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in eco-design:
“Eco-design takes a holistic view by considering environmental impacts at every stage of the life cycle, from raw material extraction to end-of-life.” – Wendy Lin
She also stresses the need to maintain product performance while reducing its ecological impact. In this sense, Wendy is committed to guiding suppliers towards more sustainable and compliant practices.
Allen, Quality Controller Manager concludes by stressing the need to integrate eco-design aspects into every product: “More and more large companies are starting to invest resources in product eco-design.”
His aim is to improve plant performance in terms of quality to reduce the need for re-inspections and thus minimize the costs and environmental impact associated with production and travel.
Committing to a greener future with eco-design
EASTWISE, we are convinced that eco-design is an essential way of meeting customer expectations and environmental challenges.
